Refined in the fire
What does it look like to be unrefined but still a daughter of God? It looks like rosy, tear soaked cheeks; it looks like a bad day clinging to a sliver of hope; it's a shaky voice and a dripping nose; it is a mess.
A beautiful unrefined mess.
Unrefined, not presentable, under attack. The sons and daughters of God who are seeking to know him more, will always remain in the fire. What I'm saying is Satan is crafty. He knows how to attack your spirit in the most effective way. Reminding you of your wrongs, pointing out blatantly the things that didn't go as you had planned. Adding to the frustrations life is constantly throwing at you all by whispering in your ear "failure… You are unacceptable."
How many times have we listened to the voice that has made us feel unworthy or unacceptable for this world let alone God's kingdom?
Answer; too many times! It's daily. Are you daily reminding yourself of God's love for you? Along with all of the "unworthiness" projected into your daily life – we should be battling our stressful situations with reminders of God's perfect and astounding love. You are made perfect in his image, but you are being refined. The world we live in will constantly consume us. Our attention, our resources, our time. As we walk through the various trials of this world it is the fire that refines us.
God is the fire that cleanses and purifies our souls. The enemy tries to attack and even then God uses the bad and turns it into something good.
Solutions of the world provide minuscule a mediocre relief. When you call in the name of our father he answers. Much like a child asking for help from a parent. Lessons are taught, wounds are healed, deliverance is provided…
The refining will continue throughout our lives. There will be intense moments where God is working something within you, causing a test of faith and endurance. Strengthening you at your core. As you grow and experience more, and more the refining process adjusts, continuously encouraging inward growth. One of the things I deal with on a personal level is needing to have everything figured out all the time.
Every time – I am led to the refinery. I have to learn to let go – and let God.
Your heart is strong, and you will brave the storm. You are walking through fire but God will equip you with what you need.
You are an unrefined warrior.
